As I have said before, I quite like The Young Knives. A lot of their music seems like nonsense (to me, anyway), and a lot of it I don't get - cast your minds back to The Decision - great song, haven't got a bloody clue what it's about. I think if I did the world would probably be a better place. I will have to look it up on songmeanings later.
Anyway, they have a new song coming out next month, which is called Terra Firma, and again, I haven't got a clue what it's about. Fake rabbit real snake? What the hell does that mean?! Who knows! Who cares! It's a great song that will be forever stuck in my head.
So, The Young Knives - Mercury Music Prize nomminees this year, Mercury Music Prize winners the next? If this song is anything to go by they should just be given the award now.
