Hmmm. I really don't know how to react to this, apart from almost falling off my chair laughing when I found these photos yesterday for the latest Burberry promotion campaign. First of all, I have never thought either Patrick Wolf nor Ed Larrikin to be fashionable, or even into this kind of thing. Sure, they dress quite fantastically and with a hell of a lot of extravagance, but don't fashionistas usually scream and run from that kind of thing?
It gets better too - various members of The View and The Paddingtons have been lured into this campaign (I have yet to see these pictures). That was the final straw, I cried laughing when I heard that part. How the hell are these bands in anyway fitting to the Burberry look? I never knew wearing the same jeans for four days could be so chic. Maybe scruffy is "in" this autumn. Or "fall" as the quote reads.
Apparently these artists were asked to be part of this campaign because of their "striking appearence" and something kind about their music. I never had Johnny Epstein down as "striking".
Money, money, money...
